Martyr Isadora

The reanimated martyr of the Margraviate of Basir Mont, swordsman of legend, and patron saint of finding fulfillment in sacrifice. Once considered an enemy of the then-fledgeling empire for leading and inspiring insurrection against it. His rebellious and traitorous nature was supposedly quelled once he was put to work to toil in the fields after his stint in the fortress dungeons. Upon his death, the lands grew lush and bountiful, thus inspiring the notion that his sacrifice must be emulated and celebrated. Revered by the margrave and his loyalists in the central fortress, but regarded with bitter disdain by the serfs who are made to toil in his name. He is re-learning how to have a body.

Margrave Grigor XIV

Also known as the Hammer of Basir Mont. A charismatic and commandeering margrave, fourteenth of his name, who has been greatly troubled lately. Recently had his heart broken, and is trying to fill the hole left behind by his lost lover, Isadore. His soldiers and staff admire him, especially his bullish (and often brutal) nature. Grigor excels at being an effective military commander. But now, much of his efforts are focused on his personal project: bringing back to life the Great Martyr Isadora, a figure who he both venerates and desires carnally.

Isadore

Grigor's lost lover. He was named after the Martyr, and bore a striking resemblance to him, too. Status unknown, possibly exploring the steppes beyond the border of the Empire.
